Each person is unique, and each disability affects each person differently. The information in this section is a very simple overview of some common disabilities. It is aimed to provide a starting point for more research. Use the assessment tools to learn as much as you can about the individual. Tunnel Vision

Tunnel vision refers to a loss of peripheral vision, resulting in a restricted visual field likened to looking through a narrow tunnel.

This condition can occur as a consequence of various factors, including vascular disorders, optic nerve diseases, retinal degeneration, and neurological conditions such as stroke or brain injury.

Individuals with tunnel vision may experience difficulty navigating their surroundings, detecting hazards, and performing tasks that require awareness of objects in their peripheral visual field. While treatment options for tunnel vision are limited, vision rehabilitation programs, adaptive aids, and assistive technologies can help individuals optimise their remaining vision and regain independence in daily activities.
