Understanding Disabilities

Module Intro

Apart from identical twins, and maybe even then, everyone is different. The same goes with disabilities. Within each disability name, as for anyone, there are a wide range of different ways people move think and behave. However, knowing what some of the common characteristics are gives you a starting point for your assessment and helps build confidence.

Each of the topics below summarises the more common disabilities. Please complete each topic, then take the quiz at the bottom.
